CALL FOR PAPERS BY CHINA-CEE INSTITUTE

1. Introduction to China-CEE Institute


China-CEE Institute is established by Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, registeredas a non-profit limited company in Budapest, Hungary in April 2017. China-CEEInstitute will build ties and strengthen partnerships with academic institutions andthink tanks in Hungary as well as other Central and Eastern European countries.


China-CEE Institute aims to encourage scholars and researchers in CEE countries tocarry out joint researches, field studies, to organize seminars and lecture series, tohold some training programs for younger students, and publication, etc.


2. Requirements for the Call


1)  Topic: “How CEE countries perceive the Belt and Road Initiative and 16+1

cooperation”. Each applicant should select ONLY ONE certain CEE country asthe object of study by elaborating this country’s attitude towards the Belt andRoad Initiative and 16+1 cooperation.


2)  Applicants are explicitly discouraged from submitting papers which
- do not clearly present the above topic,
- do not provide significant advances compared with existing research,- is in a regional approach instead of ONE certain country.


3)  The paper should contain the description of your study and should be structured inacademic way, such as: Abstract, Introduction, Methodology, Research Results,Conclusions, References and Footnotes. Speeches are not accepted.


4)  Those who are interested should sent an abstract in English with no more than500 words before 20th of September.


5)  The total length of paper should be in English about 5000 words.


3. Submission


1)  The submission of abstract is before 20th of September, 2017.


2)  The deadline for the submission of the paper is 20th of October, 2017.


3)  All papers should be in DOC 2010 word format without non-standard fonts.


4)  The papers should be sent to the following email address: chen-xin@cass.org.cn and majc@cass.org.cn.


4. Review


1)  Each paper will be reviewed by the peer reviewers of China-CEE Institute.


2)  The papers will be reviewed by taking into consideration of original thinking,in-depth and so on.


3)  The decision on the final acceptance will be announced on 10th of November, 2017


5. Notes


1)  The authors, whose paper is accepted, will sign a contract with China-CEEInstitute. According to the contract, China-CEE Institute will provide 400 Euro ashonorarium for one paper.


2)  The papers accepted by China-CEE Institute will be published in the workingpaper series of China-CEE Institute. They will also be published in a book formatby China-CEE Institute in the future if possible.


3)  The intellectual property of the paper accepted will be in the possession ofChina-CEE Institute, when the contract is signed by the author and China-CEEInstitute.
